Member of the Month Winners Spotlight

Each and every month the members at Freebies Deals And Rewards nominate their peers as Member of the Month to win cash rewards and a gift card, plus a special mention here at FDR's main blog. Unfortunately we had a family crisis and the winner announcement was not made for the month of September and now were here to make the announcement for the month of October, so we'll combine them this time around.

I would like to extend a great BIG congratulations to Freebies Deals And Rewards' second Member of the Month (MOTM) winner! Busybee58 was nominated by several of her peers at FDR to be a Member of the Month winner! The member spotlight post is an opportunity for the winning nominee to bask in the sun, stand on a pedestal and share tips with their peers.

Busybee58 joined the Freebies Deals And Rewards member discussion forums in April 2010 and has been a helpful member ever since joining. Busybee58 is a team player, participates in all site programs and is well-liked by her peers. She contributes to the forum in many ways by finding deals, spotting spam, being a good communicator and much more.

We asked busybee58 about some money saving advice that she could pass onto our readers and here's what she had to say:

I guess I can tell you that I've watched my Mom use coupons and deals from the time I was a young girl and have carried that into my marriage. I have learned so much more from FD&R.....so many great tips that have saved me even more money. As a person who loves to sew though, I did make a lot of my boys summer clothes, I still make my own. I made a lined coat 2 years ago because I got the material at our Fabricville....buy 1 metre, get 2 free, so a coat that would normally cost $125 to make, only cost me $45! It fit me perfectly and was just what I wanted. My boys ( who are 31 and 27....not boys...hehe) say so what did you learn or get from FD&R today? They just think it's amazing the deals and money that I'm saving!

I would also like to take this time to extend another BIG congratulatory message to Kimber, as she was nominated as Freebies Deals And Rewards' third Member of the Month winner! Way to go! Kimber joined the FDR discussion forums in October 2009 and quickly became a moderator of the site. She is a dedicated member that helps us both on and off the boards to complete all forum responsibilities.

For those of you who follow my Daily Tips for Living Green, you will already have many ways to save money and reduce your overall expenses through subtle lifestyle changes. However, since FDR is about being frugal, using coupons and finding the best deals; I would recommend that you Join FDR's forum, become a Canadian Coupon Member, participate in member only promotions and read about the ways that our members are being frugal and saving their hard earned money. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the money you could save and the products that you could buy for next to nothing!
